Christine FitzGerald holds a PhD degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a MA degree in Health Promotion from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She also holds a BSc degree in Nursing from the University of Limerick.
With a background in nursing and health promotion, Christine FitzGerald’s research interests extend her previous work as a Fellow with the Global Brain Health Institute in health service delivery by exploring approaches to support both person-centred and community-based care for people with dementia, their families and caregivers. With a particular focus on psychosocial interventions for people with dementia, Christine is currently exploring and evaluating community services — such as Alzheimer cafés.
