Kashie is a Hardiman Scholar and commenced his PhD research in 2019. While primarily based at the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology, he is under the supervision of both Professor Kieran Walsh of the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology and Professor Eamon O’ Shea of the Centre for Economic and Social Research on Dementia. Having completed an MA in Health Promotion at NUI Galway, Kashie has worked to support people with dementia to live well in their communities, prior to commencing his PhD. Kashie’s current research interests are focused on the role of relations to people with early-onset dementia.
